acrylic painting Selfportrait as a Tree

Self-Portrait as a Tree

2017. Acrylic & tempera on cardboard. 30″ x 40″ (76.2 cm. x 101.6 cm.)

Attempt to express self-awareness, own growth, development, and interaction of my roots with my present. What I have now are a trunk, face, and a lot of fruits, in my opinion quite ripe, which, if you look closely, are eyeballs. My path is the exploration of the fruits of my vision, my hymn to the beauty of color and light, but also my sense of vulnerability, fleetingness, and decay of existence.
